My resume can tell you all about my work experience, education and skill set, but here’s a bit about me that it won't tell you...
I’m a self-taught designer.
In elementary school, a friend and I thought it was fun to sit for hours at a time on sluggish laptops and mess around in Photoshop Elements. When I turned sixteen, instead of asking for a new car or other ‘normal’ teenage gift, I begged my parents for the Adobe Creative Suit. I haven’t looked back since.
I originally went to school for interior design.
I soon learned that although I absolutely loved the design process: the idea generation, the concepting, the color selection and the presentation of it all, I was more interested in the branding of a new space rather than it’s dimensions and ADA compliance.
I’m a Chicago transplant… from Jersey.
No, I don’t know any of the folks from the Jersey Shore but I will do my best to show you how to properly fist-pump. I grew up on a small horse farm in rural north Jersey, so I'm more of a country-girl than a shore-girl.
